These two documentary-style films were created to raise awareness and promote the nonprofit organization People Who Care (PWC), which has been serving the Perth community for over 40 years. PWC operates from five centers, providing crucial services to the frail aged, people with disabilities, and families rebuilding their lives after domestic violence or crisis. One of their key initiatives is Starting Over Support (SOS), which helps furnish homes for those transitioning out of crisis accommodation.

As the editor, my role was pivotal in shaping the story through careful selection and arrangement of the footage and interviews with the organization’s staff and volunteers. Since these films were designed as marketing videos, the challenge was to keep the content engaging while ensuring it conveyed the organization's message. With hours of interviews and footage to work with, I had to strike a balance between informative storytelling and maintaining the viewer’s interest. By focusing on the most compelling aspects of PWC's mission and the personal stories behind their work, I believe we succeeded in creating a documentary that is both heartfelt and effective in promoting the organization's cause.
